How to Create a New Customer

Step 1: Access the Customer Area

  1. Log in to the Buscoou PRO admin panel.
  2. In the menu, click on Customers.
  3. On the left side, click the New Customer button.

Step 2: Define Customer Permissions

  • Permissions determine which features the customer can access in the customer portal.
  • For example, if you disable the support system, the customer will not be able to open support tickets.
  • Adjust the permissions according to each customer's needs.

Step 3: Configure Billing and Shipping Information

  • Billing and shipping details are used to generate invoices and estimates.
  • If the customer has a different shipping address for invoices, fill in both fields.
  • These details will be automatically included when creating new invoices.

Step 4: Advanced Options

  • In Advanced Options, several additional fields are available and can be configured as needed.

Step 5: Customer Groups

  • You can organize customers into groups, allowing you to generate detailed reports on which customer groups are the most valuable.

Step 6: Set the Customer’s Currency

  • If the customer uses a different currency from the system's default currency, the invoice or estimate will be automatically adjusted to the selected currency.
  • Note: You cannot change the customer's currency if there are already transactions recorded.

Step 7: Select the Customer’s Language

  • If multiple languages are configured, you can set the customer's preferred language.
  • When the customer logs in, the interface will be automatically translated into the selected language.
  • By default, all PDF documents generated from the admin panel follow the system's default language.
  • To generate documents in the customer's language, go to Settings -> Localization and enable Generate PDF documents in the customer’s language.

Step 8: Finalize and Save

  • Fill in all necessary details and click Save.
  • You can also choose whether to send a welcome email to the customer.
  • This option can be configured in Settings -> Email Templates -> New Customer Added/Registered.

Step 9: Customer Access to the Client Portal

Tip: Quick Customer Creation

  • You can quickly add new customers using the Quick Insert button located in the upper-left menu of the Buscoou PRO dashboard.
