How to Create a Proposal

Creating a proposal in Buscoou PRO allows you to send professional offers to leads or customers before finalizing a deal.

Step 1: Create a New Proposal

1. Navigate to Sales -> Proposals.
2. Click on the Create Proposal button in the top left corner.
3. Choose whether the proposal is related to a Lead or a Customer.
4. Select the lead/customer, and their information will be auto-filled.
   • You can edit the details if needed.

Step 2: Configure Proposal Settings

✅ Status

• By default, proposals start as Draft.
• Draft proposals are not visible to customers.
• The "Open" status means the customer can take action (Accept/Decline).

✅ Open Till

• The date until which the proposal remains open for customer action.
• To auto-populate this field, configure:
  Settings -> Finance -> Proposal -> Proposal Due After.

✅ Currency

• For leads, you can manually select a currency.
• For customers, the system will use the default or customer-specific currency.

✅ Allow Comments

• If checked, customers can leave comments (e.g., negotiate pricing).
• If unchecked, comments will be disabled.

Step 3: Add Proposal Content

1. Save the proposal to proceed.
2. You will be redirected to the Preview Area, where you can add content.
3. By default, the proposal will contain a merge field {proposal_items}, which automatically displays the proposal items.
4. To add more details, click on the editor and start typing.
5. Auto-save is enabled, but you can manually save using CTRL+S.

Step 4: Using Merge Fields

• Merge fields allow you to reuse dynamic content instead of manually re-entering details.
• Click on Available Merge Fields to insert fields like customer name, proposal number, and date.

Step 5: Copy an Existing Proposal

If you frequently create similar proposals, use the Copy Proposal feature:

1. Open the proposal you want to duplicate.
2. Click More -> Copy.
3. The system will create a duplicate, allowing quick modifications.

With these steps, you can efficiently create and manage proposals in Buscoou PRO, ensuring a seamless sales process.
