How to Convert a Lead to a Customer

In Buscoou PRO, converting a lead into a customer is a quick and automated process.

Step 1: Open the Lead Profile

  • Navigate to Sales -> Leads.
  • Click on the lead you want to convert.
  • Wait for the lead details modal to open.

Step 2: Convert the Lead

  • Click on the Convert to Customer button at the top.
  • A conversion modal will appear, where the system will attempt to auto-populate certain fields such as:
    • First Name
    • Last Name
    • Company Name (if applicable)

Step 3: Custom Fields & Merging Data

If the lead contains custom fields, they will also appear in the conversion modal.

  • You will have the option to merge these fields into the customer's profile:
    ✅ As custom fields in the customer profile.
    ✅ As database fields, depending on your system configuration.

  • If you choose to merge data as a custom field and that field does not exist, Buscoou PRO will automatically create it.

Step 4: What Happens After Conversion?

Once the lead is converted into a customer:
✅ The lead will be automatically moved to the default "Customer" status.
✅ It will no longer appear in the Leads table (as leads with Customer status are hidden by default).
✅ If you want to view converted leads, you must apply filters in the Leads section.

⚠️ Important Note:
Do not rename the default system status "Customer" to something else, as this could cause confusion in the system.
