How to Manage Currencies

In Buscoou PRO, you can configure multiple currencies for invoices, estimates, expenses, and proposals. This ensures accurate pricing when dealing with international clients.

Step 1: Adding a New Currency

1. Navigate to Setup -> Finance -> Currencies.

2. Click on New Currency.

3. Fill in the following details:

   ✅ Currency Code – Enter the ISO currency code (e.g., USD, EUR, GBP, BRL). This code is used for payment gateways.
   ✅ Currency Symbol – Add the currency symbol (e.g., $, €, £).
   ✅ Click Save.

📌 If this is your default (base) currency, click the Star (⭐) icon to mark it as the base currency.

Step 2: Understanding Base Currency

• By default, all transactions (invoices, estimates, expenses, proposals) are recorded in the base currency.
• If a customer is set to use a different currency, Buscoou PRO will auto-select the correct currency for all their future transactions.

📌 Once transactions are recorded, you cannot change the base currency or a customer’s currency.

Step 3: Assigning a Currency to a Customer

To set a customer’s currency:

1. Navigate to Customers -> Select a Customer.
2. Click Edit Profile and set their currency.
3. Click Save.

📌 Important: If a customer already has recorded transactions (invoices, estimates, etc.), you cannot change their currency. To change it, you must delete all previous transactions and reassign the currency.

Step 4: When Can You Use a Different Currency?

✅ Invoices, Estimates, and Expenses → Always recorded in the customer’s assigned currency.
✅ Proposals for Leads (not customers) → You can manually change the currency when creating a proposal for a lead.

📌 For all other transactions, the currency is auto-selected based on the customer profile.
